Training Update: Beginning January 1, 2011, every direct-contact leader will need to be trained for their position. In preparation for this requirement, the Training Committee asks that all units verify with Karen Krieger at the Scout Office that their leaders are correctly registered in their current position. This will be vital for accurately tracking that they have completed training for their position. Please note that a new Leader Application must be filled out if you are changing positions within a unit or joining / transferring to a new unit. There is no additional charge for changing positions in the same unit or joining a second unit (as long as you stay registered in the primary unit, just write “multiple in the corner of the app). There is a $1.00 transfer fee for switching units. |
BSA has announced NEW belt loops & pins in the Cub Scout Academic & Sports Program. They have also added a page on the National website listing each requirement. The website can be found here.
Do you have a Boy Scout interested in the Surveying Merit Badge? Then Bryan Ellis would like to help you out! A flier with contact info can be found here.
